Omega-3 fatty acids were discovered in the 1970s by Danish researchers who demonstrated the analogy between the low incidence of cardiovascular disease in Greenland Eskimos and their diet, which is particularly rich in fatty fish, compared with Europeans.
This type of fish contains a large quantity of omega-31 type polyunsaturated fatty acids which are necessary for the construction and functioning of our cells. They are essential to the proper functioning of the body.
