Vitamin D, D3, also known as "cholecalciferol" by scientists, is a fat-soluble vitamin with multiple functions.
Well known among the general public as part of the process of bone mineralisation1 , it is also important in regulating immune function2, particularly in the differentiation and proliferation of hematopoietic cells3.
In addition to a healthy, balanced diet, vitamin D supplementation can be useful in the event of a deficiency, particularly when there is limited sunlight, such as in autumn and winter.
Ortho D3 4000 VEGAN contains 4000 IU = 100 µg (2000% AR) of vitamin D3 per tablet.
Ortho D3 4000 VEGAN film-coated tablets can be split in half, making them easier to take and therefore contains 2000 IU = 50 µg (1000% RI) vitamin D3 per ½ tablet.

Composition per dose* (1/2 tablet)
50 µg vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol, 1000% RI).
Sunflower oil.
Antioxidants: ascorbic acid, α-tocopherol.
Compressing agent: acacia gum.
Bulking agent: maltodextrin.
Emulsifier: modified starch.
Anticaking agent: magnesium stearate.
Acidifier: tricalcium phosphate.
* Maximum recommended daily dose.
Use:
1/2 tablet per day to be swallowed with a glass of water.
