The presence of numerous microorganisms in the intestinal flora has been demonstrated since the beginning of the 20th century.
The intestinal flora of a healthy individual contains billions of bacteria that are essential to his or her health. These microorganisms play an important role in the digestion process and help strengthen the immune system at the intestinal flora level in all circumstances (e.g. travel, stressful situations).
The method of maintaining the natural equilibrium of a healthy intestinal flora through the consumption of live microorganisms was introduced in 1907.
The bacteria most abundant in our intestinal flora are Lactobacillus and Bifidobacillus. These aid the digestion of food and play an important role in the intestinal ecosystem.
The yeast in Imutis is Saccharomyces boulardii. This strain has the advantage of being resistant to acidity and gastric proteolysis and consequently it is possible to take Imutis during a meal. In the gastro-intestinal tract, it is capable of reaching high concentrations quickly and persisting in a viable form, without however colonising the intestinal flora permanently.
Imutis thus presents a unique and comprehensive combination, specifically formulated, made by mixing two types of microorganism: yeasts and lactic bacteria.
1 to 4 capsules of Imutis a day.
Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult their doctor before taking dietary supplements.
As with all dietary supplements containing yeasts or live bacteria, immuno-compromised people should not take Imutis.
